What happens when you give a mouse a cookie? Who is the teacher from the black lagoon? And who ate the big red strawberry? Storytelling, as we remember it in our childhood, was a crucial foundation for learning, and it inspired us to think outside our classroom walls.

Interested in helping develop Fulbright English Teaching Assistants in Taiwan? Consider applying for a grant as a TEFL advisor for the 2018-2019 academic year.
As 2014-2015 TEFL advisors, Sarah DeMola and Emily Quade worked with the ETA advisory team to provide training and advice to English Teaching Assistants (ETAs) and Taiwan's local English teachers (LETs). Through weekly reports, bi-weekly workshops, class observations, and the program's annual ETA conference, the team helped to enhance the teaching quality of ETAs and LETs.
Fulbright's 2017-2018 Yilan ETAs are ready for the upcoming National Games! ETA Jordan Loretz wrote and composed an English song for the event, and with the help of his cohort, put together a music video and accompanying teaching materials. By associating English language acquisition with the event, they hope the children of Yilan County will learn more about the National Games via their teaching materials.
