Yilan Host Family Meeting

To begin the host family welcome party this year, Yilan ETAs sang and acted out a well-known warm Chinese song “Moon represents my heart”. Following up with the Chinese song, Yilan ETAs danced and led the whole host families to dance with them. That brought the beginning of the interaction between Yilan ETAs and host families.

今年的宜蘭文化交流之家與美籍英語協同教學助理(ETA)相見歡，在宜蘭的ETA獻唱了一首溫馨的中文歌「月亮代表我心」揭開序幕，接著ETA們帶領文化交流之家暖身舞蹈開始了今年ETA與文化交流之家的互動。

With the arrangement by Yilan Education Bureau, ETAs and host families together made their own special food, bamboo rice and popiah, and enjoyed the traditional meal named feast after harvesting the rice. During this event, Yilan County Government presented ETAs the very special notebook compiled the poems and mini engraving artwork by the local Yilan kids. Fulbright Taiwan presented host families English Picture Books composed by previous ETAs.

同時在宜蘭縣教育處的細心安排下，ETA們與文化交流之家一起動手做竹筒飯與潤餅並享用傳統餐食割稻飯。活動中，宜蘭縣政府贈與ETA們特別的筆記本，這本筆記本是由宜蘭的孩子們創作的詩集與版畫作品彙集而成的筆記本，學術交流基金會也致贈文化之家六十週年收集以往宜蘭和金門的ETA們所編寫的英語繪本。

Lastly, we hope Yilan ETAs and host families could share mutual cultures and create numerous memorable experiences with each other. 

最後在與會長官們的祝福與期待之下，祝福ETA與文化交流之家在未來能互相交流台美文化，並且能一起創造許多美好的回憶。
