Taipei ETAs Present at NCTU Institute of TESOL MA Class

2017-2018 TEFL advisor Genevieve Leung visited National Chiao-Tung University (國立交通大學) earlier this week to guest lecture in Dr. Shumin Lin's Globalization and English Language Teaching MA class. Joining Genevieve were Fulbright's Taipei Coordinator, Sonia Chan, and three Taipei ETAs, Karen Du, Candy Lee, and Jake Wassenaar.

Genevieve spoke about the various politics of English language teaching, after which Sonia introduced the Fulbright ETA program and the panel of ETAs. Candy, Jake, and Karen shared their personal experiences working and teaching English in Taiwan and answered audience questions. Afterwards, the class hosted a pizza party meet and greet, giving the Fulbright grantees the opportunity to have a very hearty discussion with the MA students as well as Dr. Lin and her colleagues at NCTU.
