Stipend

  • The local coordinators will assist you to open a bank account in Taiwan Bank or Post Office depending on your site. Base stipend payments are made in equal installments according to the number of months of the award, and deposited on the 15th of each month to the grantee’s local bank account.

  • As we only collaborate with the Bank of Taiwan and the Post Office, we recommend bringing your bank book with you to Taiwan. Upon arrival, please provide us with the necessary information along with a copy of the bank book cover. We will inform you if opening another bank account is necessary.

  • It is illegal for ETAs and ETFs to work part-time or elsewhere under J-VISA.
