Douliu City 

Douliu is a county-administered city with 2 universities. The apartment is within walking distance to supermarkets, convenience stores, coffee shops, gyms, and local restaurants. There is a variety of outdoor activities, such as hiking, mountain climbing, biking etc. 

Huwei township 

Huwei, which is known as the sugar capital of Taiwan,   has historical buildings. The apartments are located in the centre of town within walking distance to supermarkets, convenience stores, coffee shops, cafes, local restaurants and so on .

Transportation

The transportation in Yunlin includes buses, Taiwan Railway Administration (TRA) and Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR) and taxis. Buses go through townships and towns to towns. Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR) is located in Huwei Township which runs north-south along the west coast. Taiwan Railway Administration (TRA) has extensive running along both the east and west coasts of Taiwan. Yunlin has TRA station at Linnei (林內)、Shiliu (石榴)、Douliu (斗六) 、Dounan (斗南) and Shigui(石龜). Douliu (斗六) train station is the main station in Yunlin County- and all trains stop here. There are two kinds of taxis in Yunlin County, private hire and metered.

Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR)

Taiwan Railway Administration (TRA)

The Taiwan Railway Administration (TRA) has an extensive system running along both the east and west coasts of Taiwan. Yunlin has TRA stations at Linnei, Shiliu, Douliu, Dounan and Shigui. Buses

  1. Scheduled buses:

    Go through townships to townships and towns to towns. You can use the following website to search for buses, including bus routes, buses and bus stops.  http://ebus.yunlin.gov.tw/DynamicBus.aspx

  2. Shuttle bus:

    The shuttle bus goes from National Yunlin University of Science and technology to THSR Yunlin Station.   3. Taiwan tourist shuttle bus:

    The tourist shuttle bus is a bus service exclusively designed for traveling and experiencing the culture of Yunlin. There are two routes: the cultural Red Line of the “Beigang Huwei Shuttle Bus”, and leisure Green Line of the “Douliu Gukeng Shuttle Bus”.   4. Solar buses:

    Inter-city buses service which to north or Taichung, Taoyuan and Taipei, go south to Chiayi, Tainan and Kaohsiung.

Scooters / Go-Share

Scooters are the easiest and most convenient way to get around in Yunlin

GoShare electric scooters are provided in three areas in Yunlin County – Douliu city, Huwei Township and Dounan Township. People are able to rent and return electric scooters in 40 locations including, TRA stations, HSR station, universities and popular sightseeing spots in Yunlin. 

Bicycles / Moove, Ubike

A bicycle is a good mode of transportation to go around the neighborhoods.

Ubikes are free for the first 30 minutes; after that, it costs NT$ 10 for every additional 30 minutes.
