Southern Hualien Overview

Location
Hualien County has a long strip of geography, like a silkworm. Although its area is the highest in all counties and cities in Taiwan, it is mountainous terrain, and the plain is only 10% of the total area. The majority of the population is concentrated in the East Rift Valley Plain. Yuli township is the largest town between Hualien City and Taitung City, and Fuli township is the southernmost township right next to Taitung county.

Weather
The annual average temperature of Hualien is about 23.5°C. The summer is usually above 30°C in July and August, and the summer lasts for eight months. The rainfall is abundant. Therefore, the average person's impression of Hualien is hot and humid. Hualien with a length of more than two hundred kilometers from north to south. The Tropic of Cancer passes through Ruisui. Therefore, Ruisui can be used as a boundary in terms of climate, with a subtropical climate to the north and a tropical climate to the south.
